Suzanne is a long-time resident of Northern New York, and as such, she developed an interest in the history of the area, especially the period of booming growth during the late nineteenth century. Because of her deep interest in the past, she began researching and writing historical fiction for middle readers and teens.

Prior to taking up writing, Suzanne was a middle grade teacher for ten years, and an administrator at a child development center for nineteen years. Not only is she a wife, she is a proud mother of two adult children and three grandsons. Her hobbies include reading, sewing, kayaking, nature walking, and traveling. She also enjoys volunteering at her church and getting together with friends and family.
